What is Multi Crew Experience?

Multi Crew Experience is an add-on to the award winning MSFS, FSX, Prepar3D, FS9 and X-Plane simulators. It adds crew coordination, interactive checklist reading, realistic ATC operation, call-outs and warnings, as well as voice-controlled user interface features..

  • Anyone seeking a realistic home flight simulation experience, including trainee pilots practising multi-crew interaction and ATC phraseology.
  • It also benefits non-native English speakers preparing for an international aviation career.
  • Home simulators can create bad habits like single-piloting large jets or relying on keyboard shortcuts for ATC
  • MCE helps reinforce proper communication and cockpit workflows.

How does it work?

MCE builds on Microsoft SAPI 5® speech recognition technology. Its modular design allows you to use only the features you want, and it integrates smoothly with third‑party add-ons.

  • It is fully multithreaded and optimised for performance.
  • Call-and-response or read-and-do modes
  • Per-aircraft profiles

Does it work with Asobo/Microsoft MSFS?

  • Yes. It works with MSFS default aircraft as well as Prepar3D and FSX.
  • It also supports many third‑party aircraft including PMDG, Fenix, FSLabs, iFly, Inibuilds, Aerosoft, and QualityWings.
  • Many others are intergrated as well.

What are the system requirements?

  • The same as those required for the simulator you are using (MSFS, FSX, P3D, FS9, X‑Plane 12/11/10)
  • Plus a good quality microphone.
  • Coordinate with cabin crew and ground services for pushback, catering, and boarding.

Does it require an English version of Windows?

  • No. MCE supports most localized versions of Windows 10
  • You may need to install the free English language pack if not already installed.
  • Coordinate with cabin crew and ground services for pushback, catering, and boarding.

Do I need to be a native English speaker?

  • No. You only need familiarity with basic aviation terminology (around 200–300 words).
  • Many real-world pilots are also non-native English speakers.
  • Coordinate with cabin crew and ground services for pushback, catering, and boarding.
